Theresa "Tessie" DeMaio, 87 of Fairfield, passed away at home Thursday March 4, 2010.
Born in Newark to the late Mauro and Katherine (nee Serafina) Tucci, she has lived in Fairfield for 37 years.
Mrs. DeMaio was a member of the Golden Agers of Fairfield, and was a devotee of St. Gerard.
Mrs. DeMaio is survived by her son Carmine A. and his wife Patti, daughter Sandra Olszak and her husband Michael, brother Mauro Tucci, grandchildren Michael Olszak and his wife Rebecca, Lauren DeMaio Martin and her husband Kenneth, Kristen Olszak and her fiancé Ray Dondero, Lindsay DeMaio, Mark DeMaio and his girlfriend Samantha Panciello.
She was predeceased by her husband Carmine G. Jr., brothers Philip, Joseph, Thomas, Donald, sisters Mary Virgilio, and Rose Lucarella.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compassionate Friends Hospice or St. Gerard c/o St. Lucy's Church.
