Fiore T. D'Ambola, 91 passed away Saturday February 13, 2010. Born in Newark to the late Alfonso and Rose (nee Bancone), he has lived in Brick the past 30 years.
Mr. D'Ambola was a Newark Police Officer, owned and operated RoD's Restaurant in Newark and then North Caldwell and finally was employed by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority for many years retiring 28 years ago. He served in the United States Army Air Force during World War 2 in China and Burma as a Staff Sergeant in TOPO Company.
Mr. D'Ambola is survived by his daughter Carol Duffy, granddaughter Jamie Bisignano, brothers Thomas Dr. Samuel, Ralph, and Nicholas. He was predeceased by his wife Rose (nee George), daughter Linda D'Ambola, brothers Joseph, Frederick, Ralph, and sisters Rosemarie Troisi and Elizabeth "Betty" D'Ambola.
